Dobrogea is a unique region of Romania, a wonderful land, bordered by the Danube and the Black Sea, with a rich history and beautiful natural landscapes. If we were to define Dobrogea in a few words we would say an aquatic paradise, but also old mountains, delicious fish food, the oldest ancient cities in Romania, beaches, vineyards, a multicultural space where we meet Lipovan Russians, Cossacks, Tatars, Turks, Greeks, Jews, Bulgarians and Romanians.
The thematic of the trip is a mixture of culture, history, nature, hiking and culinary experiences.

We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Bucharest to start our trip to Dobrogea and Danube Delta.
We will head east on the Sun Highway and drive for about 2 hours. The first stop will be right after crossing the Danube, at Cernavoda. There we will have a wine tasting combined with an assortment of local cheeses and meat, at a chic winery, located on the banks of the Danube. From the wine cellar terrace, we can enjoy some of their best wines and we can admire the Danube and the Cernavoda Bridge, built more than 120 years ago.

Then we will go to another archaeological site, as old as Histria, but less explored: the ancient fortress Argamum (or Orgamè in Greek). After enjoying the splendid view of Razim lake from the cliff where the fortress was built, we will head to the next fortress on our program.
Optionally, we can add a new tasting of Dobrogea wines, paired with a traditional Dobrogean pie, made from goat cheese.
