Easy to medium hikes. The level of difficulty of our hikes ranges from easy to moderate, and we customize the itinerary to match the fitness level of the group. Our goal is to ensure that our guests can fully enjoy the hike and the breathtaking views, without feeling overly fatigued or pressured to reach a summit
Safety first. We exclusively offer guided tours led by experienced mountain guides who possess extensive knowledge of the area and are proficient in managing any potential risks. While encounters with sheepdogs are typically the most challenging situation, our guides are well-equipped to handle them in a friendly manner. Although Romania is renowned for its abundant bear population, the likelihood of encountering them on the hiking trails is very low. However, even in such rare instances, our guides are well-prepared to effectively manage such encounters. It’s worth noting that bear spray is included in our kit as an additional precautionary measure.
Small group tours. We maintain small group sizes for our hiking tours, recognizing the significance of minimizing our environmental impact and safeguarding the pristine nature of the areas we visit. By ensuring smaller groups, we can better preserve the integrity of the natural surroundings. Additionally, maintaining a homogeneous group allows for a consistent walking pace among participants, while granting our guide the ability to provide individual attention and personalized assistance to each guest.
Respect and benefits for local communities. We carefully craft our itineraries to encourage meaningful interactions with the local community. Our objective extends beyond showcasing the stunning beauty of our mountains and countryside; we strive to unveil the genuine essence of the region. To achieve this, we delve into the heart of the communities, facilitating encounters and conversations with the locals, visiting small farms and homestays, and indulging in locally produced food and products. Accommodation options are chosen collaboratively with our guests, and we offer the opportunity to stay in charming guesthouses situated in the countryside or nestled within the mountains.
Promote local culture. Our guides possess extensive expertise about the region, providing in-depth knowledge of each location’s history within the broader context. They actively encourage tourists to learn about and respect local customs, traditions, and ways of life.
Responsible Travel. Ecotourism encourages responsible travel practices among tourists. This includes minimizing waste, conserving resources, respecting wildlife and their habitats, and being mindful of the cultural and environmental sensitivities of the destinations visited
